In the wake of the events in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 11-12 and their aftermath, the Society for Ethnomusicology renews its call for submissions to its Music and Social Justice Resources Project. This SEM website section is a repository of material on how people worldwide are currently using music to address issues of social conflict, exclusion/inclusion, and justice.

As you prepare courses or develop initiatives for the upcoming months, please consider submitting relevant syllabi, lesson plans, news items, and other resources through our
online form.

A submission will take less than five minutes of your time and will be of value to the thousands of people who visit the SEM website. Help the Society demonstrate the power of music and social action in today’s world!
