Indigenous Music Section

The purpose of the Indigenous Music Section is to foster communication among performers and scholars of Indigenous musics for the exchange of information and ideas, and to organize paper sessions, performances, film screenings, and other activities within the context of meetings of the Society for Ethnomusicology. The Indigenous Music Section also awards the Charlotte Frisbie Student Paper Prize.


Membership: 
Any member of the Society for Ethnomusicology with an interest in Indigenous music reseach may join the section. Those wishing to be included on the Section's listserv should contact the Listserv Manager at justin.r.hunter@gmail.com
 
Dues:

Membership dues are optional, but are instrumental in the ability for the Section to develop projects and to fund prizes.
Suggested dues: 
           $10-25, students and not fullyemployed professionals
           $20-25, faculty and full-time professionals
